I used the add-on to automate the placement exterior panels and also to automate the stretching mechanism of each panel type. Again, this was only doable in a faster design-exploration process by using analytical images applied to the parametric Revit family panels.

I will also use parts of this project design during my talk presented at the http://advancing-computational-design.com conference.

Upgraded AddOn to Revit 2017
This is update version 3.0 which works with Revit Architecture 2017

Installation Steps:

-          Download ZIP file from here which contains one folder named [Revit-Tools].

-          Place the entire folder named [Revit-Tools] from inside the ZIP file on the [C] drive.

-          Make sure to copy/paste the Add-On instruction file called [iConVizTools.addin] from the [Revit-Tools] folder to the Revit2015 Add-ons folder. For example folder [C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2017]

-          The Add-On button should show up on your Revit 2017 Ribbon interface inside the [Add-Ons] Revit tab.

-          Click on the [Activate Add-On] button to activate this FREE unlimited version of the tool.

Download the pattern add-on latest version ZIP file from here which incorporats: enhanced user interface, ?X3? representing angular values, as well as the user guide.

 

Install Steps: follow these instructions to download and run the Add-On.
